Buying Cuban art in Poland and elsewhere in Europe

A practical route from choosing a Yasnier Rivera painting to confirming its location, dimensions, price and delivery arrangements.

Choose a work, then establish the arrangements

A Cuban artist can be working in Poland while the buyer lives elsewhere in Europe. For the purchase, the painting’s present location and agreed delivery method matter. The artist’s nationality does not tell you where the parcel will start its journey. Begin with a title and ask where that particular work is currently held.

Yasnier Rivera is a Cuban painter living and working in Poland. His portfolio includes Havana streets, figures, landscapes and musical subjects. Świnoujście’s summer 2025 events guide announced his Moja Kuba exhibition at El Papa Cafe Hemingway. This provides a public record of his activity in Poland; it does not establish where every painting in the online portfolio is stored today.

Test the dimensions in your own space

Check the dimensions before asking for delivery. Parque Central is listed at 150 × 200 cm, while Lago con abedules measures 46 × 34 cm. That difference affects how you will view the painting and what you need to ask about getting it into your home. Measure the wall, doorways and narrow passages. Confirm whether listed dimensions include a frame.

For a larger painting, ask how the artist recommends transporting it. Do not assume it can be rolled or removed from its stretcher. Request current photographs of the whole painting, its edges and reverse. The 3D gallery lets you compare compositions, but use measurements and the work’s details to decide whether the size is right for your room.

Request a complete written offer

Include the painting’s title, your destination town and country, and any date that matters to you. Ask for availability, the current price and currency, framing, documentation, packing and delivery charges. Confirm the expected dispatch schedule, transport insurance and what to do if the painting arrives damaged. The displayed artwork price should not be treated as confirmation that every service is included.

Before payment, establish who is selling the work, the payment method and the applicable return arrangements. For an international delivery, ask for the dispatch country and clarification of responsibility for any additional charges. This guide does not determine taxes or consumer rights for your transaction. Read the specific offer and check the requirements that apply to its parties and destination.

When a conversation about one artist makes sense

This route suits someone who already likes particular Yasnier paintings and wants the details needed to choose. You might ask about the quieter La Barca alongside the busy street scene of Parque Central. There is no need to arrive with specialist vocabulary. Naming the work and explaining what you need to know is enough to begin.

Email yasnierartista@gmail.com or call +48 604 580 332. A useful first enquiry gives the title and delivery destination, then asks about current availability and a complete offer. If you would like to see the painting or collect it in person, ask whether that is possible before arranging travel. A viewing location and appointment need to be agreed separately.
